How to get there

Skopelos is accessible by sea, providing a range of alternative options for ferry transportation to and from the destination. The island is connected year-round with Volos, while in the summer, the island’s accessibility is significantly enhanced with the addition of ferry routes from Evia (Mandeloudi), Thessaloniki, and Agios Konstantinos. Additionally, Skopelos is connected to neighboring Sporades ports, such as Skiathos and Alonissos, through daily ferry schedules. The ferry routes to Skopelos include the use of both conventional and high-speed vessels.

During the winter period, at least one ferry connection is provided daily from Volos to Skopelos. In the summer period, the schedules increase significantly with at least three daily connections. Depending on the type of ship and the port of arrival (Skopelos (Chora), Glossa Skopelou, Agnondas), the duration of the journey varies, increasing the range of alternative options for the traveler.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the ferry connection to Skiathos also serves as a reference point for access via the airport, as this way flights from Athens and abroad are accommodated by the international airport “Alexandros Papadiamantis.”
